Job Referral List
Companies occasionally contact NEMUG looking for MUMPS professionals to hire. NEMUG keeps a referral list of members who are looking for employment. When a company with an opening calls, NEMUG mails a job description to each member on the referral list. It is then up to the discretion of the member to apply for the position or not Interested members should contact Joe Crisafulli (jcris@world.std.com), NEMUG Secretary.
NEMUG Mailing Labels For Sale
The list of NEMUG Members is a valuable commodity that NEMUG sells to earn revenues for the users' group. Pricing Depends on the buyer's status:
- Educational – If you can prove that the mailing list will be used by an institution of learning of for educational purposes, you may purchase a set of mailing labels for a mere $25
- Commercial – All Others must pay $1 per label.
In both cases, you must deliver to NEMUG all the pieces that you wish mailed. We affix labels to them, then return them to you for mailing. We reserve the right to review mail pieces for approval in advance.
Corporate Sponsor Program
NEMUG has instituted a Corporate Sponsor Program so that local companies or institutions can show their support of the MUMPS community by helping underwrite NEMUG's costs. Sponsorship costs $300 per year and runs from January 1st to December 31st.
Funds from Annual Corporate Sponsors cover the cost of NEMUG's meetings and annual dinner. In return, NEMUG recognizes the sponsors' support by listing sponsors in the newsletter, reserving space for each on the literature table at the meetings, and giving each two free classifieds in the newsletter per year.
Remember members, it is our sponsors who keep our group going. Without them moneys for the hotel and newsletter would not exist. I ask that you thank each of them for their patronage and remember them when purchasing goods or services.
