November Meeting: "Reshaping NEMUG"

Facilitator: Anthony Pilozzi, NEMUG board member

The purpose of this meeting was to define NEMUG's objectives for the next fiscal year.

Anthony Pilozzi, NEMUG board member, was the facilitator for this brainstorming session. NEMUG members gave their input on what they thought was good and not so good about what NEMUG has been doing. Members were asked

  • What should the mission of NEMUG be?
  • How can NEMUG best support its members?
  • How do we support the outside world with regard to our technology?

This input will be used to reshape NEMUG to be what the membership most want it to be. After the open brainstorming session, the membership was divided up into subgroups which addressed the key issues identified in more detail. These key issues were:

  • Networking
  • Education
  • Promotion of M
  • Communications
  • Speaker Meetings

After the key issues groups met, a representative from each group presented their group's finding to the membership.

The NEMUG board will take the input received and use it to develop proposed plans for the coming year for membership review and approval.

If you would like to provided additional input for NEMUG to consider, email any of the NEMUG board members.

The charts developed at the meeting were typed up and will be posted on the NEMUG website
